Due to COVID-19, I will only be offering telehealth sessions until further notice.
Do you ever feel a part of your brain shift when you learn something new or think of something in a different way and it’s almost as if you have different eyes? All of the sudden you can breathe more deeply and daily life ebbs and flows with grace. Laughter comes easily and you can enjoy yourself and those around you, being fully engaged in your life. You are relaxed, trust your mind and your body, and genuinely feel like yourself. Isn’t it great that this happens so often in your life?
Yeah, right. Now wouldn’t that just be swell?
Here in reality-land, you may find yourself stuck in certain behaviors or thought patterns that keep you from connecting with others and reaching your true potential. Irritating automatic negative thoughts might sound like, “I’m not good enough,” or “there’s something wrong with me,” among a whole slew of other self-defeating smack-downs we tell ourselves. I am wondering if you are wanting to make some changes in your life? My guess is that is how you ended up on this page and I would relish the opportunity to support you as you intentionally move into this next chapter of your life.
I offer individual counseling sessions and often use EMDR and somatic-based therapies.
I am in-network with BCBS, Aetna, and MedCost.
If you are insured by another company, check with them to find out if you have out-of-network benefits - I would be happy to submit claims on your behalf.
I offer hope, a break from the monotony of the ways you generally interact with others and yourself, as well as a dose of authentic connection. I am direct, swift, and gentle in helping you name the thoughts and behaviors that have hijacked your life - as well as thoughts/feelings you would rather be having instead!
Give me a call, send an email, or submit a message on the contact page - whatever works for you! Give as much or little information as you are comfortable, and I will do my best to get back to you as swiftly as possible.
It's possible I will refer you to another therapist if I think someone else is a better match for you.
